Bushfire Support

ONGOING bushfires on the east coast of NSW and further inland have taken a toll on regional and rural communities, including having an effect on the mental-health and wellbeing of those affected. Rural communities will need continued support to sustain mental wellbeing and to prevent mental health problems developing.

The Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health (CRRMH) is committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of fire-affected communities.

The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) is one of our major programs and links people to appropriate mental health support. Currently, we have a number of RAMHP Coordinators working in bushfire zones who are working to identify and link people in need of extra support. To find a RAMHP Coordinator in your local area – click on the postcode locator.
