Hours
Library hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 9:00am - 4:30pm Friday. The library is closed from 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch.
Who Are We
The CRRMH library comprises the Bloomfield Hospital library collection and the resources of the University of Newcastle. Over the coming years the collection will be developed to specialise in mental health with an emphasis on rural and remote issues as outlined in the Centre's strategic plan. The library has more than 30 current journal titles, a growing number of monographs and reference materials and an electronic news service. Two internet access terminals are availble to search the internet, the Clinical Information Access Program (CIAP) and other databases.
Our Aim
The aim of the Library is to facilitate timely and efficient access to information and publications relevant to rural and remote mental health. The library assists in improving the mental health of rural and remote communities through supporting the Centre's research, education and service development programs. The library services the Greater Western Area Health Service and other area health employees with information in regard to mental health. The library also aims to assist University students on placement at Bloomfield Hospital and in the Area Community Mental Health.
Library Services
The library staff can assist you if you are searching for material on the internet or other databases. If you would like a specific article from a journal you will need to complete a Copyright Declaration Form and fax it to the library on (02) 6361 2457. Forms will not be accepted via email. Borrowing from the Library
To be issued a library card you will need to complete a borrowers registration form (please contact the library to apply). Audio visual material can now be borrowed from the library. Journals may not be borrowed.
