This project is designed to build mental health capacity in rural communities affected by drought, reduce stigma around mental health and improve pathways to care.

This major access and equity initiative aims to improve the cultural responsiveness of mental health services for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds living in rural, regional and remote NSW.

In late 2004, the Department of Health re-installed the former "Drought Support Line". It has since become an integral part of the projects that involve the mental health and wellbeing of people on NSW farms.
