CRRMH Welcomes New Research Academics
The CRRMH has the pleasure of welcoming two new research academics to the team: Dr Scott Fitzpatrick and Dr Bronwyn Brew.
Scott completed his PhD in the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney in 2013. His research used qualitative social research methods to open up sensitive areas of inquiry into suicidal behaviour.
Scott is looking forward to collaborating with CRRMH staff and partners on the development and evaluation of a range of innovative community mental health programs and services.
Bronwyn has just completed her PhD at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, University of Sydney. Her PhD focused on life course epidemiology, particularly around infant nutrition in utero and breastfeeding in relation to later health outcomes during childhood.
Bronwyn is looking forward to learning all about the particular issues of mental health that are unique to a rural setting and applying her epidemiological knowledge to help identify specific risk factors and preventive factors for maintaining good mental health.
