Aboriginal Mental Health Worker's Forum
The Aboriginal Mental Health Worker's (AMHW) Forum is supported by the NSW Health Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Office (MHDAO), and is held annually in different locations across the state. The forum brings together Aboriginal Mental Health Workers (AMHWs) from the public mental health system, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and Non Government Organisations and is designed to increase the expertise and knowledge of the emerging Aboriginal mental health workforce in New South Wales.
In 2010, the AMHW forum was hosted by Greater Western Area Health Service (GWAHS), and was held in Orange on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 October. Approximately 250 people attended the two day event and this included participants from urban, rural and remote NSW.
